The first thing to do is discuss the design of your reliquary and how it will reflect the character of your animal and relationship, this can be done via email or a phone conversation with Lisa.
Then when we have the design you can send the remains you would like included in the reliquary and payment to Lisa and she will begin the process of creating your reliquary. When it is finished she will send it to you via Registered mail. The process including mailing takes about 3 weeks. Here is some information about the design of your reliquary to consider.
The front is made either of a domed piece of metal or glass which can contain remains that could be seen (glass) or not (metal). There is space for text under the glass which is usually partially obscured by remains. If the front is metal text can be placed on the surface of it. Reliquaries which are made out of metal (front and back) can be made in a 3/4” inch diameter. Reliquaries with the glass are limited to 1” diameter size. The back has a domed piece of metal which can also hold remains, or sometimes people put a little piece of paper there with something they have written or dirt/sand from a favorite place the two of you enjoyed. That domed piece of metal also has room for text. Artwork there are metal stamps with which I can stamp a design into the metal. You could choose from a star, crescent moon, heart, sun, dog pawprint, and horse. I have also in the past used the letters from the animals name overlapping one another to create a texture in the shape of a heart. (IMAGE) And finally, I can place a silver ball tassel which hangs from the bottom or it can be left as it is without it. A chain is included which is soldered together for safety (no clasp) and which is long enough to slip over your head. It is also possible to make original artwork which is something to discuss with Lisa. There are a lot of options. Questions 1. Silver on both sides or glass on one side/metal on the other?
